Call for Scores
We are committed to supporting new music in our community
because we believe it is integral to the artistic development of classical music.
Submission deadline: 11:59pm on November 1, 2018
Selected work announced: December 1, 2018
The chosen composer will receive a $200 honorarium, a performance of their work on April 26, 2019
at the First United Methodist Church (203 S. 200 E. SLC, UT), as well as a high quality video and recording of their work.

Composition Guidelines
Instrumentation for 2 violins, viola, and cello
Local composers from Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Idaho, Nevada, or Wyoming
The piece must be between 5-15 minutes
Works previously premiered or written in the last ten years can be submitted and only one submission per composer is permitted
We strongly encourage the chosen composer to work with the quartet during the rehearsal process and to make travel arrangements for the premiere
Decision Process
The chosen work will be decided by members of the Rosco String Quartet through an anonymous review process
A third party will prepare the scores for review
